    At first when I joined the experiment I never imagined I could remain alcohol free for a month. I wasn’t a big drinker but was aware that my drinking was increasing over the last 12 months so I decided to give it a go.

    What I hadn’t expected was the commitment and open honesty from all the coaches and guest speakers and the interesting forums that they did daily and I found myself looking forward to 7pm and joining the community that had been created, we all asked questions and the answers were honest and explained in laments terms and best of all from their own experiences.

    I managed to stay AF for the duration and am pleased to say I have now done 35 days and have took the next step and joined the Blue Light Alumni community. I would again like to say a big thank you for your step by step guidance on your topics such as what alcohol does to your body, the importance of exercise and a healthy diet and so many more and a special thank you to Annie and Maria whose time they have given up to organise this experiment and here’s to many more of them.

    Prior to doing the Live Alcohol Experiment did I feel like I drank too much? Deep down probably yes.

    Did I feel like it was an issue? Not really.

    Did I regularly exceed the governmentrecommendation? Every single week!!

    I initially joined the Live Alcohol Experiment because I had decided to do Dry January and thought it may be a useful adjunct to support me. What I actually gained has been life changing! I fully immersed myself in the whole experiment; watching all the videos, joining most of the evening lives and reading the recommended books. I felt like I was not only learning about what alcohol does to the body, but I was on a whole virtual wellness retreat!

    I have learnt so much more about alcohol, the importance of sleep, exercise and so much more…..reducing my alcohol intake is just the start of this incredible journey to making me feel so much better.
